Strategy days

Well, I’m all for time out of the office at a nice venue to talk strategy - its great, breakfast and lunch and drinks after work all paid for. We had a nice strategy day at the Royal Cape Yatch Club in Cape Town harbour.

The venue was “old” - everything smacked of old history, too old for me. All of the chairs where creaky and the airconditioning made a shitload of noise. Nobody prepared anything, except me, and a few people where making their strategy up/penning down their thoughts on paper over breakfast - SLOPPY.

It pissed me off so much that I didn’t enjoy the day at all :(

Anyways, time to catch up on work email.

Final action cricket game for the League

Well, we finished our league this evening at the Claremont Action Cricket arena. What a kak place to play. Firstly ALL of our games where always late, we played against teams that where not in our league and then they moved a lot of the teams around in our league. I think we also played against a team four times (it would have been five if we didn't complain). Loads of our games where forfeit wins as we complained a lot. I do not recommend that place at all.

Anyways, our final league game was a winner for us, which means that we won bronze - IF we played against the team we where supposed to. Instead we played a social against our Finance department - who talked a good game during the two week build-up to the game - but we whipped their asses.

I got a hard and fast shot in the right shoulder and its kak sore. Other than that, we had a great time all round - we are definitely going to play more social games in the future - rather than these silly league games.
