4 days with the E61

I am on the 4th day of the E61 so far and things are great. There are a few things that I absolutely need, a pouch, more external memory (I'm getting 2GB) and then the screen protectors. After just over a year with my Palm Treo 650 and its screen protector, I have finally seen the light.

As usual I have installed like a million apps onto the E61, just because I can and I am curious to see what it the apps look like on the screen. Well, I must admit that installing the applications when you have 3G access on the phone itself.

The benefits for me for the phone so far after 4 days are:

  • No camera on the phone, makes this phone DAMN lighter.
  • Larger screen on the phone.
  • Full QWERTY keyboard.
The downside of this phone (for me) are as follows:
  • The keyboard keys are a little difficult to use so far, no idea why.
  • The phone is living in my pocket without a protector (so I cannot put keys or anything else in there with it).

The default applications are all good so far, the wireless is also good, but you cannot tell the phone at this time do this connection and at all other times do that.

The Mail for Exchange application is also damn good. Although, I want to test the RoadSync application as well to see how that compares ($99 for RoadSync).

More to follow.
